"You know why Amazon makes money on the Internet? Very simple, Tim. Because they don't promote "sharing" for free. They don't promote copyleftism and copying. They sell content for money. They respect copyright. They help authors get paid. And they also help users resell their books in a great used book selling system. They enable you to put your own book up for sale. And then they have lots and lots of gadgets with good prices and good shipping and customer care for money. You know, real money. Not "getting your brand out". Not "building customer lists and reputation". But getting money for stuff. They get the Internet to work for them and get paid, and they enable other people to get paid, too on the Internet.

More of you big Internet people should do that, Tim."
